Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka is Belarusian born in Minsk. Sergey Sabalenka (d. 2019) is her father, a hockey player. Aryna Sabalenka was born Minsk, Belarus on May 5th, 1998. Her professional career has seen her achieve twelve WTA singles titles, which includes a Grand Slam in the Australian Open of 2023. As a doubles player, she's an excellent player. She's won two majors along with Elise Mertens. They won The US Open in 2019 and the Australian Open in 2021. She also achieved the Sunshine Double in 2019, taking the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open along with Elise and Mertens. This feat was only achieved by four couples in singles for women. In the month of January, 2023, she surpassed her top ranking in singles. On 23rd August, 2021 she was promoted into the top two spot of the world rankings. The Belarusian rose into the top spot of the doubles ranking the following year, after winning at Melbourne. This made her the second Belarusian tennis player be successful in tennis. Her coach was the former Russian tennis champion Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the conclusion of the 2019 season and in part at the beginning of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann and her were briefly together from August to September 2020. Antonio Dubrov, her fellow countryman, has coached her since the year 2020. Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova were her idols.
